Cool video, I like the bow fishin shots - it's challenging & fun !!
Made this slide show a couple years ago. It's from a collection of photos I have taken.

The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"
Something about the wooden bows either stick or recurve just screams "Elegant Simplicity". Although I have gone to a compound, am considering going back to a stick for bow fishing. Just not sure my shoulder will ever heal enough to handle archery.
Very Nice Video BTW!
Hey Pac,
Enjoyed the slide show. I've gone back and forth a few times between compound and traditional. My current setup is a JD Berry Renaisance longbow about 47# @ 28". I got a deer with it last year shooting cedar arrows and Zwickey heads. What kind of setup do you shoot?
I'm a fan of Crow Creek bows made by Elmer Patton here in Arkansas. 3 years ago I had a buddy walk me through step by step and I built a laminated longbow for myself that pulls 44 @ 28. Last year I finally killed a small doe with it. Since I go by "Pac" I decided to call it the "Pac o' Whallop"
I've killed others with other people's bow but that little Pac o' whallop doe was special.
pac I love the long bows I made my veryown a few years ago and put my compound down and sid I wouldn't pick it up till I scored a buck with my long bow it took two years but the bear hill krippler was successful it's hickory and bamboo but I should have done alittle more research as it comes right in at 82 lbs at my 31 inch draw it's heavy and don't request a lot of long practice sessions but after a year I ws comfortable at 30 yards and shooting a 6 inch circle . I have since bought me a bear Montana bow to use but haven't got to harvest anything with it yet I didn't get out at all last fall as work kept me busy but am hoping that changes this year as practice will soon be starting lol.
