No, but anyone attending gun shows may get to see it at a booth set up by the Texas Game Wardens Museum. Meat was donated to a food pantry. Sometimes, it costs
to get clarity. When in doubt, slow down and make inquiries. Assuming your knowledgeable of the rules may be gambling. Lesson learned.
Buck was legally tagged but when he posted the picture on facebook, he opened himself up to misinformation from jealous rival hunters from nearby properties. All it took
was a call to the Game Wardens to bring about doubt and inquiries. Investigation ensued and meat and head was confiscated as evidence. The caller is a well known
poacher and is being investigated. He had called and cussed out my nephew for taking the buck when he himself wanted to take it, but the nephew beat him to it.
Competition can get complicated and everyone lost. The Game Wardens have full control of who wins and who looses. The dollar amount has yet to be determined, but
it will be more than the nephew can afford........so he lost big time. Between 5 & 10 k is what the fine will be and he will be allowed to pay it out. He did get to fill his
freezer with a doe, so he is done for the season.

Thats just flat out terrible. Greed is a terrible thing and to think that fellow hunters act that way is ridiculous.

What a horror story! Two really nice bucks too, people need to mind their own business. I know Facebook is VERY, VERY popular, but just like in this case, there's also MANY downsides to Facebook. I've still got a facebook page but seldom even visit the page anymore. I feel like facebook is nothing but a gossip page and it can obviously work in a negative fashion like this one.
