    Congratulations to my long time friend and hunting buddy John Dannenberg on a job well done. He took this nice black bear last evening while hunting in northern Michigan.

    Depends on what part of Michigan and what hunting unit. This one was taken in the Red Oak unit which just opened Friday. In Northern, Michigan, (the U.P.) I think it opened a week or more ago. Lots of bears throughout the majority of the state. Even finding them these days in the southern, more human populated areas of the state.

    They had a news story here in Ga of three bears walking through an Atlanta neighborhood the other day .
