Good looking Buck - I bet he Tastes better than he looks.
Don't know anything about aging of deer, but I would guess his age will be deceased soon. Shoot straight and bring some deer stew to the Toledo Bend Gathering.

Nephew got this one Friday evening just before shooting time expired. Looked for him for 3 hours and never found a blood trail. Next morning he and
5 friends looked for 5 hours and another friend with a tracking dog showed up to help. Found this buck in 5 minutes, 300 yards from the point of
arrow impact. Buzzards had already removed one eye and the meat was already bad. He caped it out and took it to the taxidermist immediately. So,
we won't be making stew for the Toledo Bend event yet. The doe he took on opening day had a tumor the size of cheap cigar hanging off the side
of her face, so she fed the coyotes for a few days. Got another doe sporting the same size tumor that will need to be eliminated too. He had gotten off
a shot at this buck on the second day of the season, but the buck dropped under his arrow and he missed. It's great when we get second chances.
The taxidermist will age this one so I will have a better idea what his age was.
