My food plot was planted in the spring, 1 acre of purple hull peas. I've got 7 pints of peas this year that the deer haven't got. Can't shoot here because I'm in the city limits but you're welcome to take all you want.

I've heard deer like peas, so I shelled and snapped up half a bushel and put the hulls on the ground in front of my game camera.
Deer didn't know what they were, even though I had placed some small range cubes they love on top of the pea hulls. Maybe
the purple hull peas are more to their liking....huh?
Wish I lived closer so I could take up on your offer. Name: black-eyedpeas.jpg

Getting closer, spent the weekend spraying roundup. will need to let it work for about 10 days then go back and till, then after that I'll hook up my "new" planter and give it "heck"

Will not be planting here until 1st or 2nd week of September. All the fields have been sprayed, tilled, and sprayed again so planting day should be pretty easy...

Hasn't rained around Okla. city in 25 days! The weather man gave his solemn word, tonight that it is going to rain the 18th and 19th. I'm on pins and needles, like Christmas eve waiting on Santa Clause. Got everything ready - fields are tilled - the planter is hooked up - The gas tank Full - The seed has been purchased. RAIN DARN IT !!!
