I'm mostly a hair tying guy but I'll try some feathers too. Where do you get your dye?

RR - all of them!! best if they were separated in bags by type.

Cane I'm trying to get a bunch and then try the dye part - I've heard rit, koolaid and Hook and Hackle has a brand for feather dyeing so it's gonna be doing the search on the board and get the easiest way to do it. And I'll make REAL sure the wife is gone when I do it!!!!!!!!!!LOL

I posted on the MS board that you were looking for feathers. Hopefully they will contact you or I when they get a bunch. You do some colors and I'll do some. We can swap and trade with other members too.

Cane - that will work if I don't destroy them!!!!!!!LOL never dyed any feathers before

RR - The males flank feathers are what most use but the females are real nice too!! The lemon barred wood duck feathers are always wanted as I use them for Catskill Dry fly wings.

I'll do my best to save a variety. During a season we usually have a mixed bag of ducks. If you have any specific ones you are looking for, PM me and I'll see what I can do.

I'm seeing some feathers on ebay listed as "cape", not on the picture of the duck.
I couldn't find dyes listed on the Hook and Hackle website.
I went to this website Select a Color and ordered 1 lb. Neon Pink, 1 lb. Neon Green, 1 lb. Sunshine Orange, 1 lb. Lemon Yellow and 2 bottles of Cherry Red. I'll be ready when fur and feathers show up.
