Default New A Bolt II .308

Had a bunch of guns stolen last year and only 1 of my sons recovered. So ended up in the market for a new rifle. Having had great luck with A Bolts in the past that is where I went straight away. Picked up one in .308 when Bass Pro had their Black Friday sale weekend and got it for a great price along with a Nikon 3x9x50 Prostaff and DNZ Game Reaper mounts. Took it to the range and she was shooting good. Took her to the smiths for a trigger job and had the barrel cut back to 18.5" and a Gentry muzzle brake installed. Was able last weekend to get back to the range and give her a good workout. Groups shot at 100yards off a bench in a Varminter rest with 150gr Federal Fusion. The Winchester 150gr Power Max Bonded was real close to the Fusion. Federal blue box was about a 1" group and Hornady Superformance was about 2" and Core Locts were about 3.5". Think I will stay with the Fusion or Power Max in a pinch. Now if I could just find some more fusion ammo I would be happy. But I do have 1.5 boxes left now so I will be good for a season or 2. Will shoot the others when just practicing for season. Nikon has resettable zero so no problem there.

    yep! Thats a dime!

Now if the fall will just hurry up. South Carolina here I come again!!
