I have had the same problem with Rocky Boots as well as Georgia boots!! ( the Rockies were not that old)
Has anyone ever had a problem with the soles of rocky boots litterly falling off? This is the 2nd pair this has happened to. The first pair it happened after we had been coyote hunting on some mine property and walked thru some funky soil. After that hunt the soles of the boots just disinigrated and came off. I thought it was the mine soil and bought a new pair. Iv had the new boots for 8 years but Iv only worn the 4 of 5 times. Yesterday I put them on to cut some wood and noticed the soels were stickin to the floor, 20 minuets later the soles wer gone from boots. These boots are stored in a climate control cabinet in the garage. They do not set anywhere that the sun can get to them. Im not buying the UV crap.
Anyone else had a problem with Rocky boots? Im gonna call them tomorrow.

I bought mine at Dunns in Marion. Wonder if they will do anything about it?

Yep! Common problem with Rocky boots. Mine always leaked after one season. Then off comes the sole. I have switched to Danner boots. More money, but I've been wearing the same ones for 5 years now.Thumbs Up
Muck for me
friend of mine had the same problem .so he called rockyboot company an the told him the boots were made to wear not to storing
I've heard alot of complaints about Rocky boots lately. They sure are made as good as they used to be.
all ive bought since 2001 have had that issue--some sooner than others--but still keep buying them.
This will happen to any boot that has it's sole glued on eventually. You can buy some "Shoe Goo" adheasive, clean the areas very well, (I use a small wire brush), apply the glue very thick so as to make sure you have "Sqeeze Out" around the parimeter. I tie some heavy twine around it, stick my foot in it and finish wrapping it while foot inside. Wipe off the excess. Sets up in 24 hours, but I leave mine alone for at least two days before wearing again.
Don't forget to take you foot out after it's wrapped! lol

Very common problem with Rocky's. Many years ago they made an awesome boot, then they moved production to China and quality went down the drain. I got two words for ya.....Irish Setter. I don't know where they are manufactured but they are owned by Red Wing boot company. I have a set of their hunting boots and have worn them for several years now and they are still going strong. Have friends that wear them too and I haven't heard one bad remark about them.
