Thanks. I have been hunting out of the kayak since the late 1980s and learned early on that jump shooting can be very rewarding when done right and with a bit of luck. It is really great when the aquatic grasses are standing about 30 inches above the water and you can not see the birds until they flush. Sort of like hunting pheasant or grouse from a boat. And the open water jumping for divers can be awsome but I have to be aware of the wind at all times. One of the lakes I hunt is over 20,000 acres so the wind can come up or change quite quickly. Definitely not recommended for the novice.
