Thread: Rage Broadheads

I like many of you have heard some problem reviews, most of those have been about the 3 blade rage...heard very little negative about 2 blade model...I stay a little traditional with my 3 blade 100 gr muzzy..taken 10 p&y bucks in the last 5 yrs...great passthroughs...no lost deer...and are shooting w the same pins as my field points right now...(this is mostly a credit to excellent bow tuning)...for me if it aint broke don't fix it...whatever you use you gotta have CONFIDENCE first....good luck to all

I agree with BamaMan I lovem. I shoot a Hoyt GameMaster recurve with the heviest arrows I can find because i'm not shootin 300fps. The entry holes are awsome!

So is everybody thats posted on this thread thats had good sucess using the 2 blades or 3 blades? Iv also heard the bad reviews on 3 blades but I got a pack of them for christmas and could probably return them.

I personally have been shooting the crimson cudas expandables 100gr. Iv shot 2 deer this year and 2 last year with them and everyone has had huge huge entry holes and massive blood trails. Never lost a deer. I shoot 340gr carbon axis arrows with a bowtech 101st airborn at 70lbs. Just wondering so I know whether to return them or not.

Well that makes me feel a lot better. I was begginning to think I was just lucky thusfar with the deer that I've killed with mine bc everyone around here is putting them down.

My next question is, I'm hearing a lot of you talk about different grain arrows. Most are a lot higher grain than what I shoot. Is there any reason for your preference, just curious bc I'm satified with my results, but if I can make my tactics better by using a higher performance product I'm all aboard. And how do you match up your grain arrow with your grain broadhead when you're shooting grain arrows above 125?

Anyone have any good advice on how to properly tune in a 4 power scope that comes on a crossbow. Supposedly you're supposed to be able to sight in the top bar and the 20, 30, etc out to 60 yds are supposed to fall into place. This isn't the case with my dad's bow. It's on left and right but the up and down is off a half foot to foot.

That will only work with the right arrow weight setup. I can do it with mine but if I change to say carbon with a different grain tip it will not work.

He's shooting the basic aluminum arrow. What do you shoot to make it work right? Grain, kind of arrow, and broadhead?

I'm shooting the two blade rage out of a Mathews Ovation (slo bow) I shoot a 360 ACC at 29" at 62# so far this years tally is:

one buck
three does
a wild boar
and a Bobcat

With the same arrow and broadhead !
