    Good one and they definitely will smack different lures than jigs. Friends who are only fish for green carp tell me of the big crappie they ketch on their big crank baits.

    heard a guy the other day say he was bass fishing with a big craw and ketched him the biggest crappie he ever saw …..
    might be onto to something you think ?
    but we ALL know they never EVER feed down

    Way to go Luke! That’s a beauty. I caught my first really big slab in a farm pond on a yellow and black stiff plastic worm with orange beads and a little spinner on the front. My Deliar said 2 lbs but who knows in those pre digital days. Keep exploring those ponds- lots of gold out there while you’re fishing for those green carp?
