    Default Ky Gewber Report

Finally remembered to take the Gewbers fishing with me today, this only my second trip crappie fishing since receiving them. Unfortunately didn't catch any crappie but did get a chance to try the Gewbers out. I started out vertical fishing jigs after sometime realized I wasn't going to catch any fish I decided to start casting. Casting jigs is my preferred tactic and I have been looking for some type of attractant that would last more than a few cast and the Gewbers work very well for this. I have tried others but after about 2-3 cast they're gone. I'm looking forward to when the water cools down and the crappie fishing gets better. Thanks Slab for the chance to try Gewbers out, I believe they are going to be a success.

Got a chance to fish a few hours Friday afternoon. I was casting jigs tipped with a Gewber, caught 3 crappie and a yellow stripe on a single Gewber. These baits are durable for casting, everything else I have tried does good to last 4 cast. Ended up with 8 nice keepers, caught at least twice that many short ones and numerous stripes.

Excellent report. Glad they are working as intended.

I went out today too just for a bit. We were casting to shore and caught a ton of small Bass and Bluegill. Could not find the crappie. But I have to say, without Gewbers the fish would only tap the bait, you know, the tug tugs you always get. But slat a Gewber on and they smacked it harder and got themselves hooked. That's the idea of using them. "Won't bring them in from across the lake, but if they are there, they'll bite harder and hang on longer."
