Sounds like my past two outings at Oconee. When it does turnaround and I hope soon it should be on fire for dock shooting. Thanks for the update.
Some things happened this morning and I wasn't able to hit the water quite as early as I like to. We put in at about 7:30 and left at 2pm. Ended up with 9 in the livewell and really only about 4 of those should have been. I let them all go at the boat ramp. Unless I've got a good mess I don't like getting all the filleting stuff out. Long story short, all fish were caught in more than 6' of water trolling double 1/16. Couldn't find them shallow so we started going deep. By the end of our trip we were tightlinning 15' down in 25' of water. Only produced 2 good crappie like that and 4 catfish. Go figure. Water is very dingy. I'd even call it plain muddy. Temps were at 67 at daybreak and 74 in the main lake at 2. Tough fishing.
To heck with work, lets go fishing.

We did try shooting a few docks, but I just don't know what docks they're under. Also, the friend I had with me can't shoot docks to save his life and I really didn't want to leave him out. I guess I just need to spend more time on the lake and figure it out.

Wes, when it gets good we will go shoot some.
Wes, your friend and I would get along just fine:D....Maybe one day I'll take the time to practice up on my shooting and give it a try....For now I guess I am just too lazy (or busy) to spend the time getting the practice I need. I reckon I'll just stick to trolling till then!!
