    yea they biting...
What was the water color at the tressle?? water temp? when it gets muddy it takes forever to clear up..
try working your way out to at least the long bridge but most of the clearer water in near the mouth of that creek..look in those feeder creeks with less stained water.. Muddy water on harding is tough for crappie because the water is so clear most of the time..I think

CAUGHT A FEW GOOD FISH PAST THE TRESSLE TODAY.. but then it was very tough and to be honest I ain't sure where they went because we couldn't find them today...looked in Alabama and Georgia.. one day I'll learn that lake..
Might be time to tightline a little bit..

You know how it is, one day on the next day off. It was still a beautifull day on the lake and was a real pleasure to finally fish with the famous Smitty. Just to let you know, the females aren't done spawning. Even that big white crappie we caught first thing was still full of eggs. for that matter, all the females had eggs at different stages in them.

I'm down here fishing Harding today & tomorrow hoping to find a good bite. I will be long lining this am between Long bridge and the tressel. if I don't find them there i might try closer to the river tomorrow. I went last Saturday am and there was so much debris on the other side of the tressel that it was almost impossible to troll.

I have to agree with Smitty "They Biting". Fished from sun up to about 11:30am. Caught about 25 total. 1/2 of them caught long lining till about 9:30am between long bridge and the tressel, the other 1/2 caught throwing at trees that fell from the bank near deep water just past the tressel. Almost all fish were caught on 2" grub with 1/8 jig head (pink jig with Chart. curly tail) a few were caught on a 2" grub white & yellow jig with Chart. curly tail. Mighty windy today once the sun came up.
