That's exactly what they've been doing. The rainfall has been so heavy downstream that they reduced flow from the dam, or even stopped it, to prevent flooding.

I know they have reduced it drastically but they have only completely stopped it twice.....a couple weeks ago when it came up nearly 5 feet in 24 hrs and a couple days ago but it only came up a little less than a foot in 24 hrs. We cant take all this rain for granite....just my opinion that they shut the gates completely for the next day or two and let the lake get to full pool b/c the downstream locations will see well above their minimum flows for the next few days. Just my opinion that they do all they can to get it full while they can b/c come a few months from now you will see a steady decline in the pool elevation.

Not really I just hear more about it in the news here and am longing for my favorite spot in Soap Creek to get back under water so I can get back out there.

What are you hearing over there in regards to the water level in the next few weeks??? Is everyone over that way expecting it to be close to full pool soon or do you think it will top out around 326.0 and settle before starting to fall again? Reason i ask is i will be over there for half a week in a few weeks!

We are hoping to pick up a couple more feet and put a death grip on it to keep it. The last few years we've dwindled back off after a boost, but in 04 and 05 it really stayed pretty steady. If we can at least get some rain it should hang on for a while. I wouldn't imagine in going more than a couple feet in either direction in the next few weeks.

Been around to amity, wildwood and mistletoe today, water is up real nice but whole lake is muddy. With that said though, fish are being caught.

It should be clearing up in the next few days if the water stays warm.

I just rode out there to see how things look. ALL the water is still very muddy, even the deep water around Little River bridge. The water is visibly higher (as expected) and you can really tell how it's filling back in the coves around the bridge. Also ran out to the back Soap Creek ramp and it was in use, several trucks with trailers parked there. Also rode to the back side of the the creek and water is finally back out to the power line stand. Still a ways to go and I don't know how long it will take for the fish to get back in there but it was good to see how far it's come.
