What's funny is my name is also Bobby. And I'm going out with Jim this Sunday TOO! That is of course if it isn't freezing cold w/gale force winds like we've had my last couple tries. That will probably be the case, unfortunately.
Not mine unfortunately, but this ran in today's Augusta Chronicle.
Bobby Carter of Aiken shows off a 3-pound white crappie he caught while on a recent Thurmond Lake fishing trip. The guide on the trip was Jim Murphy, of Augusta.
original story is here, but this was all they said about the crappie.

I think that is the second 3lber they have caught this year. Probably Lloyds creek or Grays creek. Take a GPS with you and share the brush pile info. Just Kiddin

Their website is here if anyone wants to see: http://www.doubletroublefishingguides.com/
You normally fish up in the Soap Creek area right DI?
You going to be on the hill this weekend at all?
don't know yet, the wind is supposed to be pretty bad. My partner is on the lake as we speak and he has only caught 1 and lost a big one as I was on the phone with him. I will probably do some bank fishing if the wind is bad on sat.

Well good luck on ya!
Forecast is looking like 20+ MPH right now, naturally.
And they just issued a severe thunderstorm warning for this evening.
