    very nice park!! bite was natta a few months ago,but not sure now.the lake is way shallow and ate up with grass/weeds.you can go up river i wouldnt try trolling as youd stay tangled with weeds..we love to camp there,never caught a fish tho

    haha.....I actually haven't fished it in a while, but the crappie I have caught in there came from the mouth of the river where it enters the main lake to up the river about 500 yards. There are a few bends with some brush on the bottom that the crappie like to hold in. If you hit the lake up in about two to three weeks you should be able to get into some crappie. Like already mentioned I wouldn't bother trolling. Either cast with jigs or use slip rigs and minnows. I always cast with jigs.

    hey crappster,doesnt that river look like youre goin into the okeefenokee swamp? it is beautiful.i took the wife and kids up the river in my little boat,talk about a relaxing trip.yungest fell asleep.thanks for the tip on how and where to catch them as i def will be back there is the LORD is willin for us to go.the rangers there are awsome esp with the kids

    I fish there pretty often.The crappie I catch are either in the lake in the river channel or in the mouth of the river like Crapster said near the bends.I have actually caught some very good size crappie and a 10lb bass out of the lake.I like it ,one of my favorite places to fish.Hey Manta hope we can fish some on your nexy visit
