    Default Lake Jackson minnows???

Apparently using minnows for crappie in lake Jackson isn’t near as important as it used to be!!

    3 different locations… nope

We were actually out trying to test our new spider rig setup, which looks to be awesome

We caught 5, all were about 8” and solid white

So now we are building one for the back deck so we can start learning how to “long line”

Dang if we got that one figured out yet, I understand using different colors, but how do you decide on jig weight /line size/ trolling speed to get to a desired depth??

Seen one guy post that he was catching them pulling jigs, the fish were 12’ deep in 25’ of water… how do you “target” fish ?? Is there a weight/depth/speed chart??

LIVESCOPE. Know exactly what depth they are running.

I use 8lb line and pull single 1/16ths or double 1/16ths according on how deep the fish are
I mostly pull curly tails and color depends on the color of the water
    Clear water light colors
    Stained water darker colors
I’ll put out a mix of colors to start and let the fish tell me what they want
You don’t need livescope to catch fish if you have a good graph and know how to use it
Let me know if you need anymore help
I usually troll around 1.0 pulling jigs and a little slower if I’m pushing jigs so if you know you’re on crappie and not catching them you need to start changing colors or speed up or slow down

I’ve been doing this a long time and a lot of trial and error
When I started long lining I would put double 1/16 on and pull across a sandy point until I started hitting bottom and that would tell me how deep my jigs were running in my boat at that particular speed
