    Default Lake Seminole March

I was late making reservations for winter trip this year. Had to use vacation time prior to April or loose it. So have two weeks in mid march made reservations for lake Seminole. I figured it might be too hot at Florida places,I usually go
I’m from Illinois And go to Florida often. Georgia is usually seven hour portion of road trip that I spend even more time stuck in traffic for reasons I can’t figure out. The pine forests smell good though.
i have a boat with live scope. I also have ultra light trolling rods with line counter reels for micro crank baits and assorted length rods for long line or spider rig. It’s hard to long line at home we have a two rod limit up here but it works great in Florida and Kentucky

Also will try for bass cats and bluegills.

Any ideas of what will work and stuff to bring for crappie and the other species. I don’t keep lots of fish or maybe none Want to spend time fishing not cleaning

Staying At Ease Campground. Guy on phone was nice prices cheap even though new owners took over

Also lake is in three states will the Georgia license work everywhere or do I have to be careful of location

Also may stop at lake Blackshear a couple days on way down I have been watching videos on both. Both don’t have very detailed maps like other lakes with maps in my collection

The shellcracker should be starting about that time. Should be some crappie back on brush, otherwise they get in the grass to spawn and hard to find. Catfish everywhere

Only advice I can give you on traffic is find a route that misses Nashville Chattanooga and Atlanta. I don’t travel north anymore.
As for fishing I haven’t fished Seminole in a few years but when I did we dropped minnows and jigs into the holes in the hydrilla and Lilly pads. Not many places I saw to long line but that’s the way I normally fish. Good fishing and have a safe journey.

Longline by the hydrilla with 1/8 jig heads at 1 mph in 10-12 foot of water.
