    Default Lake sinclair 4/4/23

Went dockshooting today but only caught 4 crappie, started throwing towards the bank between docks and found them by accident, they have already bed and the males were on what was left, almost every cast for a pretty good while, so started looking for something else the sorta looked like what we were fishing and found 3 more spots that was loaded. We caught probably 100 fish a piece but most were little males about 4 finger wide, probably took home about 2 dozen that was 10-12 inches or so. Had a pretty good day. Looks like around here the most of the females have already laid there eggs, not saying all of them had, but all the fish we had today were male fish looking after the eggs.

Good fishing for sure. I’m sitting here with ice pack on my shoulder trying to get it calmed down. I’m thinking looking at the moon this will be the week for the bedding to finish up.

RJR here at sinclair you can find a few females that have eggs in them, we checked the basket at the end of the dock after we got finished fishing and they were 15 or so crappie in the basket that were 1 to 2 pound crappie and were full of eggs. I don’t really understand the whole spawning process, but I am certainly glad they all don’t bed at the Sam time, then it limits the fish I can catch. Hope that shoulder fells better, l know you ready to put a rod and reel in your hands, but go slow it ain’t worth it, but I know if it was myself and I know how hard headed I am, I would try something. Go slow brother there’s a lot of time left to fish without straining that shoulder.

I know it’s just a little early for me to jump back in the game but I’m getting mighty antsy. Going to PT out in the Lake Oconee area isn’t helping either. Cross the lake a couple times each way and seeing folks fishing doesn’t make it any better either.
