    Hartwell is on fire , great crappie lake just pretty big

    Try up Gumlog Creek up above Tugaloo State Park. Work the standing timber about half way up and fish the coves going up the creek. Depends on the water temp, but you and your grandson should be able to pick up a few in there. Just have to figure out where they are holding. I haven't fished there in several years, but that area was always dependable when I did fish it. You will have to move around a bit until you figure them out. Good Luck!!!
