    Default Blackshear Friday Afternoon

Made a quick trip Friday afternoon to Blackshear. Since wind was still kicking-up and it was already past 5PM, we decided to put in a Smoak Bridge and just fish that area. Caught tons of small fish just around the bridge on the west side trolling. Had 4 nice fish that we released. But the real challenge was the sea-doos and afternoon pleasure boats. I forgot about that part on Blackshear after years of not fishing it.

TIP OF THE DAY: Don't go under the bridge with your Jenko Net in the vertical net holder!

Boat traffic at Blackshear this year is ridiculous. Its like 4th of July weekend every time I go.

Must be nice getting that goverment money to sit at home and play on the lake all day.

And since things have been shut-down, it's even been bad at times during the week. I got lots of work in my shop coming-up starting Monday so my fishing time is about to come to a halt!

Back in the game. Few aircraft rivets and epoxy. Only lost about 3 inches of length which we never really extend it all the way out anyway. Went on their website and they have no nets or handles. My guess is coming from China so they can't get any. Saved me some bucks anyway by fixing it.Name: 20200503_083842.jpg

I wasn't directing that comment toward you.

Just venting about the amount of boat traffic this year than normally is. Alot of folks DONT want to go back to work. I have been working a ton of OT due to folks "self quarantining" from work (and getting paid) just because they "might" catch the beer flu. I mihgt get lucky and get on the water again around the 15th of this month.

Tired of all the sorry and lazy people in this world.

No offense taking towards my way. I've been busy in my shop. No real slow down for me other than can't get parts I need. I work the hours I want/need too.
