Headed to the Hill in the AM, myself. I live 5 min from Lanier, but I ain't going there anymore until fall, no. Idiots galore, and while I've had moderate success, it really isn't a very good crappie fishery IMO.
Got to the lake at daylight, only one other truck at mega ramp, fished to 3pm when I had enough of the inconsiderate pleasure boaters and water lice that came out in full force after the rain passed. These idiots are going to get all the lakes shutdown. Still mananged to coax 23 into the cooler, had to fight thorough the schools of dinks to catch a good-un.
FYI, DNR is out inf force at Blackshear, I did watch them stop a few party boats. Just gave me a wave everytime they passed. Also GSP is monitoring the ramps.
Before all the idiots came out.
The take.

"Alive without breath, as cold as death; never thirsty, ever drinking, all in mail never clinking."
Forgot the condtions...
Fish were 15-20 deep on the channel ledges, water temps were 67-70 and the hot color was Weiss Lake Killer, Blue/Chartreuse with either a pink or red head.
Seems to be crazy lately. I hope we can back to normal soon. They ran me off by 11:30 last time.
Headed to Blackshear tomorrow. Did pretty good there last Saturday. I'm hoping with the cooler weather tonight that it will keep the water lice to a minimum tomorrow.
