Default Fishing shallow over deep water.

I have been a couple of times this past 5 days and there seems to be a pattern here. I am fishing in 25-35 FOW, fishing 6-15 feet down and catching fish. Last fall we went to Oconee and fished in 60 FOW fishing shallow. Out target that trip was Stripes but we ended up catch a cooler of Specs.

Go fish in deep water and follow the ledge off from the channel and don't give up. It will surprise you.

May the Force be with all of you!

In deep water I always look for fish in the "zone"...8-15 fow, usually means feeding fish. fish near the bottom are off thier feed, usually.

Amen to them words. We saw so many deep that we stopped and put minnow down. They were catfish and we caught 6 of them. I went up there again today and my poor pal had no trolling battery working. Trip lasted 15 minutes.
