    Default Humminbird helix 7 S I- G3


    I just bought this haven't tried it out, my 958 took the regular Navionics sd card this one takes the micro sd card. Has anyone tried out the built in lake maps on the newer hummingbird finders. Helix 7 gps-SI-Di-G3 is what I now have.

    Get the Lakemaster Southeast card. They are excellent!
    Fishing is like pizza.......Even when it's not that good, it's still pretty good!

    I recently bought the same unit. I was disappointed to find out my lakemaster card I had in my previous unit would not work. You can download lakemaster chart for specific lakes on line. The map that is loaded on the unit is very basic with little detail. Also these units won’t read depth at any speed over 10 mph. I had to install old 2d transducer and buy splitter cable to connect both transducers to the unit. Just thought you might want to know

    thank you for the responses, that was what I wondered about the loaded maps in the unit itself. I have two units on my boat, this one will be upfront then I have another unit at driver control.

    I you guys need to check your lakemaster cards. Most of the full size cards are just card holders with the micro card installed in them. That micro can be removed and installed in your helix units. Both mine are along with the navionics card.

    That is exactly what I did and found yesterday, That my navionics sd card holder had the micro sd card installed inside of it. Thanks for the reply
