Default How is the bite on Blackshear?

Might run up for the evening and fish till midnight or so to avoid the water lice. Has anyone been doing any good around Veterans Memorial? Thanks.

Thanks Sage. I'm hooking the boat up now. Gonna fish around the trestle and 280 bridge I recon.
Take care of that lovely wife you have. Hope she feels better quick.

Did ok yesterday. Only fished till about 1 pm. Kept 9 nice crappie. Skinny. Hot hot hot. Too much mossy grass crap to troll, but we pulled some out if it.

The bite was hard to come by. We fished from 10pm Friday til about 10am Saturday. Like Sage said earlier, lighted boat docks. The bite wasn't easy by no means, had to make em bite. I had 21, my dad and son had 2, and my friend and his brother had 6. You gotta be persistent. I did catch a few shooting docks after daylight too, but that bite faded as quick as the temperature rose. The water temp at night was still 84 degrees in most places. We need some rain to cool it down a lol then I think we'll have another good bite going.

Most of my fish were caught on this lure. Its a home poured horsehead. Painted with holographic finger nail polish. I rigged it with either a Crappie Max shad in Icsicle, as shown here, or a Bobby Garland Baby Shad in Blue Ice.Name: 0512181255.jpeg

I stayed out till about 3:00 am. and fished around the RR bridge mostly. Not much happening there few little bites and a big gar.
Next time I'll hit the docks.
