I know what your talking about, I just retired 9 months ago and loving it, it’s so nice being able to just fish during the week, and not be tied to the weekend and hoping the weather isn’t crazy.

We got a late start cause said son is perpetually late for almost everything so when we get to Jackson lake its crazy with bass fisherman. Not 1 but 2 bass tournaments are going on so as you know they think they are the only people that should be on the lake and you should get out of the way. The rudeness was at an all time high. We tried to get away from them by going deep into the back to shoot docks but they still came in at break neck speed, fish for 5 min and take off.

The day wasnt a complete loss cause I got to spend a few hours fishing with the other love of my life, which is rare due to his schedule.
    Sorry for the rant
I was on the lake yesterday and experienced something that have never happened to me. I was trolling a area and of course there were the typical rude bass fishermen coming with in a casting distance of me, half to 3/4 throttle, being very inconsiderate. I guess they were prefishing for a tournament. I got trolling down a bank and here comes one of those bass boats towards me (here we go again). Low and behold this guy actually slowed down. He came up to me and was very very considerate and said, I don't want to be in your way, but do you mind if i fish those blow downs up there in front of you? I told him that he wouldn't be in my way and to have at it. BINGO!!!!!!!! Kudos to you young man. What a great fisherman. Don't know who the guy was but that was a true fisherman in my book. I wish all fishermen were like that. What a example for everyone to take note of. He took off before I could talk to him again and thank him. You know that if everyone on the lake was more like him we all would have a better time on the water.
