    Default LAKE OCONEE 2/17/18

Jim and I fished Lake Oconee today. When we started the water temperature was 58 degrees and warmed to 60+ degrees when we finished. We combo trolled as usual with the usual set-up. We did not plan to fish today but at the last minute we put a trip together. We caught 23 very nice fish and had 21 fish by 1:20. We both kept 8 fish for the grease. A Tennessee shad fished on a chrome jig head was the best fish catcher for us today.

Awesome!! Tenn shad and purple rain and black blue chartruece dod it for us. We probly caught 40 but only kept 14 crappy and padded the live well with some trash fish. Aka bass, striper, and one nice channel cat.

All black crappie. Lake Oconee doesn't have any white crappie.
