    Default Carter's lake crappier


    Anyone fish for crappie on Carter's lake? I got a friend that live really close and wants me to take him fishing. Any information will help.

    I fished that lake a couple of times (years ago.) It's the deepest lake in the state, and gin clear = very difficult to fish!
    Sorry that I can't be of more help. Use your electronics to try and locate the fish, then use minnows or natural color artificial...

    I haven't fished Carters in 20 years, But when I did we fished up the river on the right hand side, a lot of standing timber at that time and i am sure it is there.
    I would put in at Woodring park you don't have to be a Mt. goat to launch your boat and your across the lake from the mouth of the river.
