    Thanks for the report Hotwater.
You've just about got me convinced that I've gotta try the spider/longline method! I've never done it, but your results put fish in the box.
Question for you.... What is the reason you "longline" instead of spider rig? I'm guessing speed: you can cover more water faster?
    Anyway... awesome report!

I don't like minnows. You may gain some advantage by covering a lot of water but you may lose some of that advantage due to the fact you have to make wide sweeping turns. Usually, I have an idea where to look for fish. I don't normally have to cover a lot of water to find them. There are times when tight lining works better. I'm sure there are pushers who would have done better than I did yesterday. In fact I know one who caught his limit in that same spot on Thursday. I started out pushing about 5 years ago. I decided after a couple of years that I would experiment with long lining. I'm still experimenting.

I didn't lose any Friday. Usually, I have to re-tie jigs more often than tie on new jigs. The Litewire hooks help a great deal. Line tangles are the biggest problem and often that occurs if I'm not paying attention, catching trash fish, or hooking fish while making a turn.
