    Default The Hill March 19-21

Fred and I went up to the Hill on Sunday for a few days. Sunday PM we kept 24 nice fish in 14-17 FOW. Water temp was 54. Monday AM was cold at 34 degrees, AM bite was bad but we kept 23 in the PM and the fish were in 8-10 FOW and Temp was 59 degrees in PM. Tuesday we kept 50 NICE fish. Most were caught in 3-6 FOW and water temp hit 64 degrees. Best colors were Popsicle and Shad with orange heads. We ran double jigs in 1/24 or 1/32 even in the shallow water. Folks when a 14 inch fish grabs yore jig at 2 MPH, you got summin. Thank to Curtis for his light wire hooks. You need them bad when fishing stump fields.

Very nice! We fished Tuesday and Wednesday with similar results. We limited out both days. Fish we caught were in 4-6 fow. Same colors you used plus black/chartreuse. Fixing to start cleaning and weighing the bigger fish.

Eric, if I was not OLD, I would have went back today and Friday. When you get 3 score and 10, you are forced to rest more.

I was fortunate enjoy to have my dad along with me. He has taken me my whole life. It's nice to be able to flip that around and take him now. He would have stayed another day if I could have.

Are you pulling in 3-6 fow? Or are you pushing double rigs?
