Just returned from a 3-day trip. It was pretty tough. The most fish we saw came from out of state fishermen who said they were drifting minnows up shallow and kept everything they caught. We caught 27 Friday, 40 Saturday and 15 yesterday. We fished up Yellowjacket creek but didn't go past Jackson creek and up the river no more than two miles. I preferred a 1/32oz BG monkey milk fished on 4lb test using a tediously slow presentation. The females we caught were still a week or two away from spawning. Water temps averaged in the mid to upper 50's. In the backs of the coves the temps were in the low 60's. We caught fish in 10 FOW and some in 2 FOW. Hope this helps.

Your details are the same as I experienced yesterday. Numbers were down. Water temp was 57 degrees most of the morning. I did catch bigger fish in deeper water 15-25 fow. Smaller fish were 6-13 fow. No doubt the cold weather pushed them back. Some tried to go shallow after lunch when the temps rose when some of the cloud cover lifted. More than half were females still full of eggs. 85 degrees today should have them moving hard!

In the Ringer/219 area the fish are up shallow. Good friend caught some nice fish super shallow on Friday.

Thanks for the reports guys I'll let everyone know how we do next week. Sounds like we're going to hit it just right then.

I was there Friday, Saturday, and Sunday last weekend. Didn't get to the lake until about noon on Friday. Started out around Clark ramp, and caught a ton of small fish. Moved to Georgia Park area, and at first, only had about 3 fish. Then, just before dark, BAM! I don't know if I finally hit a spot or it was the time of day, but ended up bringing 15 home! Fun Hour.

On Saturday, again arrived around noon due to the rain. Went back to where I had left off, and fish were still there. Only fished until about 4 as some dummy (me) forgot to charge the batteries! Both Friday and Saturday, I was pushing in 6 to 10 foot of water. Brought home 25 nice fish on Sat.

Sunday, made it to the lake about 9, and decided to mix it up, so put in at Ringer and went up river a bit. Started pulling in 6 to 10 FOW for about the first two hours and had 3 fish. Then, moved to 3 - 6 foot of water, and BAM! Pulled 1/32 jigs - best color was blue and white. Stopped fishing just before 3 with a limit.

Yes, I know everyone likes pictures, but I forgot to take any. I have a picture of the five bags of fillets, but its just not the same! Next time!

Just got back (pulling jigs). Fished all day yesterday (3/24) and left at noon today (3/25). Kept 47 total for the grease, but no big ones.
We threw back way more than we kept, lots of dinks. The better fish were in 14-17 fow, but holding very tight to structure. Snagged a few dinks in 6-7 ft in Beech, but otherwise nothing shallow.
The wind was awful and water temps 58-62. Moved all over looking for bigger fish and just never found any, or they didn't like what we were offering.
Fished Whitewater, Stroud, & Bird yesterday, and Yellow Jacket and Beech this morning.
