We caught 31 last Friday fishing the Optimus Island area at Sinclair. Fish was deep in 20-25 feet of water and dark colors worked best double rigged. Water temps were mid 50's. Be aware it was muddy enough to see deer tracks and there was trash everywhere...be on the look out for logs as we saw several big ones floating around. (might be worse after this last batch of rain).

I haven't heard anything about Oconee as most people I know haven't been fishing due to the weather.

Good luck if you decide to go and lets us know how it is currently.

I was at Sinclair today working on my place and it is still muddy from 441 bridge towards twin bridges. There were very few boats at the ramps. It was windy. Andy-1 Cove

Exactly what Dutch said. We caught fish during the holiday weekend at Sinclair. Should be fun for a young person!
