When y'all are out fishing for our Crappie and you run into those sorry good for nothing Line Sides, let me know where they are. I want to go get them out of your way.

    Thanks

Yes they are. We may go over there after the Holidays. We used to catch big numbers around the damn area in the winter. Bartlett gets stocked from the fish coming down from West Point.

This one was caught yesterday in the Apalachee River channel between Sugar Creek and I-20. It weighed 8.5 lbs and was 29 inches long. We caught several on crappie jigs. They are not my favorite species.

Danbo, you might want to check out Wateree in South Carolina. They have some impressive post on CDC.

The crappie fishing was awful for us. We only caught 3 keepers. Had I been a striper/hybrid fishing guide I would have probably received a very nice tip at the end of the day yesterday. One of my grandsons and his friend were with me and they thought it was great fishing! I'm glad they enjoyed their fishing trip. I did.

Thanks Hotwater! I heard the same thing about Oconee from other folks yesterday as well.

To me it is a lot of fun catching stripes and catfish on crappie tackle. I will not break one off. Last week I caught a 15 to 17 blue on a 14 ft southern crappie rod and I had a blast. Was fishing lake wateree
