    Default Duck opener today

I imagine we're all skipping this wind, but FYI. Duck season opened this morning. I am pretty sure there were more duck hunters than ducks on Juliette last night. It looked like a UFO disco with all the lights shining.

I miss duck and goose hunting. I am to crippled up to go anymore. It was so much fun calling them in. Enjoy it while you can.

I heard that! I only know about duckers on Juliette because I see them when out fishing. Ain't no ducks in GA to speak of. I limit my duck shooting to woodies on a creek.

Which reminds me of a good way to get someone to give you a dirty look. I was at the dock the other day getting out while some duckers were around. They asked if I had caught anything. Like usual I only admitted to having caught all of them. I asked if they had killed any ducks. They had not. I asked if they wanted to know where the ducks were. They did want to know. I pause and beat and said, "Arkansas. Arkansas is where the ducks are." I kinda got the feelin' they did not appreciate the hot tip, nor nothin' else for that matter. I sure did, though.

Lots of geese around and a few ducks. Not anything like it used to be 30 years ago when we hunted the swamps. Mallards and woodies was about all there were unless you seen a few teal but there always seemed to be plenty to shoot at.
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
