I've done it many times. You might lose a few jigs though.
I have this method I thought about trying. I am about to get a Stryker 7 SV.
Does anybody cruise along with the SV, see a BP or school of fish, and stop on them and just cast jigs?
I have the Ipilot with anchor lock so I could stay on the spot, so I am just wanting to see if anyone has tried this method?
Thanks

I think lots of people fish like that. Find brush piles or promising looking spots, mark them, then fish with jigs and minnows. I would suggest that you get some marker buoys to toss when you find them because Ipilot anchor lock will only get you in a general area, I would say plus or minus 10 to 15 feet or so.

The marker buoys are great to mark where you want to focus your casts. My iPilot's anchor lock pretty much holds me in place unless the wind is blowing hard. Sometimes it works hard to hold you in place. It isn't perfect but I think it is pretty cool. I use it to shoot docks when the wind is blowing. Good luck.
