Size: 73.3 KB We had a few people that came in the camp grounds on Monday and then some more on Wednesday hoping to get in on some great crappie fishing but the weather was terrible with winds getting up to 20mph sustained and up to 30mph gust. I feel that everyone still had a great time at this years Get Together. We did something different on Friday night this year. We usually do a hamburger and hotdog deal at someones camp site but Papa Sage and his wife Faye decisded that a low country boil would be great to do. Hey who wouldn't like that kind of meal. Then on Saturday we had a fish fry for the noon meal. It was kinda hard to get everyone outside to get a group picture after the Saturday meal because everyone was full of those crappie filets. There was one very special person that was unable to attend because of health reasons. We sure did miss "Mr. Jimmy" Stripling but his best friend Chopper brought a friend with him and they kind of represented "Mr. Jimmy". Chopper accepted the JMMA "Man of the Year" for Mr. Jimmy Stripling. Emotions were very high as everyone loves this great man Mr. Jimmy. Hey Mr. Jimmy we are all praying for you my brother. That is Mr. Jimmy's friend "Chopper" on the left and Papa Sage on the right presenting the JMMA trophy.

Sounds like everyone had a good time. Sorry Jimmy could not make it. We're still praying for you Jimmy, get well soon. And I'm real sorry I could not make it, especially after hearing you all had a country boil. Dang, I better make it next time.

we did not make much on this get to gather and did not get to fish for the bad weather we did have a good time and met a lot of new friends . we did get some new members . we are hoping to have a big and better get to gather next year . the low country boil was a big success if it did cost more than we collected donation for it . i will take out of my pocket any day for a gathering like that .if we can get enough of promises next year we will git the big pavilion . we are looking at a week end in March PM me if interested and will make it
Thanks to one member that paid for the pavilion $100.00 and the INN donated a room and breakfast worth over $135 .00 and Brad at the Flit river outdoors for his generous donation of rods and reels and tackle .
