Deep v stick steering

My grandpa is looking to buy a new boat. We talked yesterday and I told him that I have never saw what he is looking for. He has owned a ton of boats. He had double knee replacement about 2 years ago. He is looking for a 17ft or longer deep v with stick steering. No deck at all in the front. Prefers no deck in the back. Does anyone have one of these? If so please post pics or give me a brand that makes them.

Sounds like a northern boat. I saw a lot of that kind of boat growing up in Michigan. Check the northern state boards and Craigslist northern states listings.

Royal Boats is deep v but not sure the length. Glasstream has a 17' stick steer available.

Check out Royal. Sold at boyd's marine in Dothan Alabama. They are pricy but without a doubt the best riding and fishing stick steer on the market. Just bought one and love it. Scott

Royal Boats

When this old man got a new boat for ease of operation and comfort, I got the War Eagle 754VS. It rides good and once I fall in it and sit down, I am good for the day. I also have had a Brazillion boats over the years and this is the best ole folk boat I found.

While war eagle and some of the other boats mentioned are fine boats on of the things that set's the Royal apart is the fiberglass construction with 100% synthetic construction. There is no wood in the boat including runners. The fiberglass is a much smoother ride in rough water. Your more than welcom to take a test ride/ fishing trip although I'm strickly a dock shooter ,no trolling. Trust me I did alot of homework prior to sinking 24,000 into the only new boat I've ever bought. Just my thoughts but I've compared and fished out of many,many stick steer before settling on Royal. I don't work for them or get a commision just my 2 cents worth. I think you owe it to yourself to compare the difference in the ride of fiberglass vs. aluminumn. Another option that I got was hydraulic steering rather than traditional stick steer. Adds a saftey factor as I'm too old to take a swim in the middle of the lake. I love the Royal boat but I had $15,000 to spend and not the $25,000 for a Royal. If money is no object the Royal is the boat of choice.

i think catchfelay s boat is a Royal he had it up for sale . he might have sold it . it is not on the sale list anymore .
