    Default Weiss this a.m.

Me and netgirl took a little trip to the old crappie capital this morning. Caught 45-50 and kept around 20 pushing minners in 15 to 20 fow about a foot off the bottom. Caught a lot of 9.75 inch throwbacks but was still fun and kept a good mess to eat. I must say they were stacked in there like hot cakes and the shad above them were so thick my fish finder read 5 ft deep at times. Also both caught our first white crappie so that was exciting.

Nice white! Doesn't look to windy there...the wind is really blowing here...so I stayed home.

Nice fish and good trip. Nice to here about Lake Weiss, we don't here much about it on the Georgia forum.

Yeah I've got a few friends over here in west ga that fish it. Seems to be making a comeback and the dnr has been doing some restocking. It's just so darn scary to navigate in places.

Good Job Kevin! Glad you finally made it over there! I haven't been on Weiss in 30 years, but as a kid...I remember a couple that hammered SLABS! dragging jigs close to the bottom / trash in the spring....MONSTER FISH! ...but that was in the mid 80's
