    Default Oconee flood fishing

Fished two trips Sunday...the only decent water in the lake is near the dam. Fished deep water coves and had a mixed bag of stripers and Crappie...a few were close to two pounds!...Honestly surprised the fish bit at all...They probably just wanted to be like the rest of us and get on some dry land! Great catch especially considering all the water.

Good report! Do you eat the Stripes? I like them better than crappie.

I don't eat em much....But the size the customer kept yesterday is the eating size! little filleting and removing the bloodline...then soaking in salt water should do the trick! I stick to big crappie filets right outta the cajun fryer!

Good job with all the rain we have had and a nice catch. I am planning on going Saturday, probably will be muddy enough to see deer tracks in, but beats working or watching the idiot box on the couch.

Jody you amaze me. Were you in the Navy, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine? I'm afraid to even go out there. You ever see that movie "The Perfect Storm"? That would be my luck.

Allatoona and Lanier are completely trashed. Allatoona was almost unfishable and Lanier made it impossible to do any kind of multi-pole fishing.
Fishing is like pizza.......Even when it's not that good, it's still pretty good!

Jay: I spent alot of time in the dunk tank at the carnival! HAHA... Yeah...When I put the boat in at Armor Bridge....It was pure red !.... But there is some clean water at dam coves...stripers are biting live bait...trolling rigs and the crappie are there too! I'm with dutch! Gotta get out anyhow! My PM customer came by himself and we fished in the rain...then the sun...sweated...caught fish! He said I gotta get outta the house man!!!!!
