    Default Change Of Venue

Kowboy and I left our comfort zone and traveled to Clarks Hill Sunday for a day of fishing. It was a big change from fishing Lake Oconee. We started fishing around 7:30 a.m. and did not catch a keeper until 2:45 p.m. From then until dusk we kept 9 very nice fish most of which were the size of the one Kowboy is holding. We caught several smaller crappie and the usual fish you don't want to catch when trolling with 16 rods. We only got one rod snagged all day and it came loose without breaking off. The water temperature was 62 degrees. We saw another boat on the lake with two guys that looked very familiar. I had seen them somewhere before but I just can't remember where?

Good report. The Hill has the best crappie for size in the state. What area were y'all fishing?

Aha! It was you and Quick. I knew I had seen you guys somewhere before. Dang! It's a small world. I learned there are some big fish in that lake. I also learned it is like fishing in the ocean you never know what you are going to catch. I hooked one striper that took out all the rods on the left side of the boat.

We did not and I haven't seen any recent reports on the SC forum.
