    Default Dock Shooting

I enjoy shooting docks and have had some success at it although I am still a novice. Like most of you I would rather troll for crappie because it is an effective and easy way to fish most of the time. Yet sometimes one has to change tactics as was the case for us on Tuesday. By no means am I trying to say that we "killed" them after we started shooting docks yet I learned something as I always do.

This is not a post to tout any manufacturer of fishing electronics. It is a post to extol the value of SI technology. If you enjoy dock shooting and are considering an electronics upgrade the SI feature is worth the extra expense. You do not have to stop and fish a dock to determine if there are fish under it. Instead you can idle by with the outboard motor and with your unit set for side imaging and "see" the fish. If the dock is supported by posts you will be able to pinpoint which posts the fish are between as well as the depth they are holding. It's amazing! Just my 2 cents worth.

I cannot agree more. There were so many on this dock I was able to see them on the down scan!
