LOL, its a good thing she didn't have matches..... or a gun for that matter. I might have been in trouble. Ya know, she enjoyed every thing about it BUT, the cold. She said she would go back next year but if it was cold she might just volunteer for the kitchen....

It was fun meeting all you guys and putting a face to these post.

    Mr. Earl,
If you know just a little, you could put what I know in your back pocket. I would absolutely be in for hooking up and going to either lake. For as close as I live to West Point you would think I would know that lake better. I know a lot of the where's, I just don't stay dialed in on the when's. I just don't fish it as much as Harding or "Bartlett's Ferry" to me. I've never really longlined Harding but a few times so I don't usually catch the numbers that people seem to catch trolling or pushing on other lakes, but come go with me one day in the early spring with a single pole and we'll have some fun. I got a milk run of spots on that lake that we can just run and gun....And we'll make Jimmy grill us a steak when we get done!

Great meeting you too. Yall need to keep me informed on the Crescent Slabfest, I might try and make that. I don't know if my wife can make it but I'll find somebody to ride shotgun.
You know when I wrote that about being lucky / blessed, looking back, it kinda sounded like I was saying a man was one or the other. That's not the case and the more I think about it, I left something out. My wife has never really fished. She came down on this trip just to get away. We got three boys and if they are not with me, they are with her. I've been fortunate enough to go on a lot of hunting and fishing trips in my life and I guess what I'm trying to say is I couldn't do what I do without her doing what she does. She keeps it all together when I'm gone and for that I'm very thankful.

All I know is me and Netgirl had a blast and will be back for years to come. So thankful to have a wife that loves the outdoors as much as I do!

I live just east of the Chattahoochee river, above Newnan. How far is Martin from Harding?
