Good catch with it being 28F this morning! Know it has had to push them back out some.

Was the bite better early or late? Congrats.

Fished Oconee. Didn't get a bite until 10:00ish and was sporadic all day.

These fish are spawning. They don't care about wind or cold temps. Water temp is 54-58.

If I remember right, 2 days ago you picked the windiest day to go, and now yesterday, the coldest day to go out...and still catch fish. You win the Coveted Gold Star Award which entitles you to receive from us a firm handshake and our warmest personal regards!! I was striper fishing yesterday. It was colder than a witches, well diggers, brass broom bra........ Congrats on a great day!!

I am trying to learn how to do this trolling/longlining/pushing/spider rigging stuff. I took a hiatus for a few years to shoot competitive shotgun. It is coming back to me slowly.
Been jigging spoon in the winter for 25 years. When you jig a spoon, the best fishing is in the coldest weather.

Funny thing is, I found somebody to fish with me on these cold windy days.

Way to go when the fishing isn't comfortable. Good fisherman don't let the weather tell them when to fish. Now to clarify, I am not a good fisherman when there is lightning, 25 mph winds, or air temps are below 35!

I don't fish in lightening. The rest of it I can pretty much handle.
