Thumbs up Report from the Hill

My wife and I finally tried out that new boat yesterday. It took awhile to get it rigged for trolling but it was worth the wait. We started fishing in Big Creek about 8:00. We met a friend there with his son. It was a little cool and it seems as if the weatherman missed the wind speed but it was fishable espically early. My wife and I fished until 4:00 and had 12 nice keepers. We have a boat size limit of 10 inches. I fill sure we had 2 that was in the neighberhood of 1 1/2 pounds. I lost one at the boat that was 2 lb plus. I think my friend had about 16 or 17 when we left. I gave him our catch and am waiting for a report on the weight. We fished several areas but never caught a fish in water deeper that 5 or 6 feet. It was good enough though that we may make the trip again soon.

we fished towards the pumpingstation on big creek and had to tie up and fish the trees.Too much wind to troll with a pontoon .Ended up with 20 or so crappie all 3 turns off the bottom in 20-25 ft.
