If you have time ride up to the fish hatchery at moccasin creek state park on lake burton. It's amazing the number of rainbow and brown trout and the different sizes that are there. Nice rv park also. Have a nice day and don't forget to eat at Paul's on the river in downtown Helen. I'll be there next Thursday nite for the ayce crablegs. Andy-1Cove

ok guys. i bombed out. i fished in helen on the river and it flooded rain. no trout. so the wife and kids and i rode up to anna ruby falls to check it out. my 8yr. old boy camerunnin back down to the truck, cause i was sittin there eatin peanuts, and he said,daddy daddy theres fish everywhere up hear and you can fish. so im like oh yea its on now. i get my ultra light and a rooster tail and head up there. i looked over the edge of the deck into the creek and there wer rainbows everywhere. just before i made the first cast a lady walk over to me and says, sir fishing is not allowed here, didnt you read the sign. i said no mam but my boy did. low and behold, the sign said fishing PROIBITED. so. it was a definate sanctuary for trout that have been reintroduced to the stream. so dont ever count on your kids for that amazing information that youve been longing to here. we dont rally ealize how lucky we got itdown here fishin wise. man they are ticky bout where you can fish in the mountains. OH! AND THERE ARE NO WHITE PERCH THERE EITHER
