that is the way it was on blacksher Sat.went up into cedar creek they would come up in there with big boats and turn around where we wer trying ti fish . we did mananage 20 keepers . i was in a 16 ft. fiberglass bass boat . lake fishing is over for me unless i go night fishing .the river is gitting right so that is where i will be if the water level stayes up.
retired and now i will always fish

Y'all are a couple of brave souls. You couldn't pay me to venture out on the lakes on a holiday weekend. Glad y'all made it home safe.

That's the reason I usually limit my crappie fishing from Oct-April/May time frame. The heat is the other factor. But if I do fish this time of the year, it will be at Talquin. There may be a few pleasure boaters but you don't see near the water lice that most lakes have...Makes you appreciate the stumps and gators!!!

One more month of shooting docks and the RED RANGER will be covered up until September.

yeah, try night stalking. Went to Oconee last Saturday night and I think there may have been 4 or 5 boats in the area. The fishing was excellent, couldn't bait my hoooks fast enough. My six year old loved it.
