Hey, I live in Hahira just south of Adel and fish the Little river. Mostly from millers bridge, on Morven rd. South. I have done well at times for crappie if you can find a hole and brush. I have done quite well fly fishing for bream and have caught a number of decent bass as well. The water getts very skinny. last summer I walked alot with the canoe. There are also a number of little pits and ponds just off the river that hold good numbers of crappie. When the river is up some they can be accessed from the river other wise you need land owner permission. Oh getting a "boat" in is pretty rough. Hope this helps some.

    thanks Brimfisher.
I found a boat ramp up from Barney by accident and was wondering about how the fishing was.
The river is up right now with all the rain, nice looking river. USGS is showing 6 1/2 ft deep right now,
thinking about taking the jon boat and trying it soon. You can catch crappie on the downstream side
of the dam at Reed Bingham when the water is flowing over the dam so I would think they should be
in the river downstream too, hopefully

Little River South of Adel and Withalachoochie (sp?) South of Valdosta are great when the water is up high enough to launch a johnboat or canoe. Some really good crappie in the tree tops along both rivers. Some of the best redbreast and bluegill fishing West of the Satilla. Need to check with some locals on the shoals on the Withalachoochie. We launched one day around Clyatville and met a local that told us to turn back because we would be 2 days to the next ramp!!!!! He was right after more research was done. Beetlespins and small white spinnerbaits worked really well.
