coldneck1.....no real suggestions. I've never fished it this time of year. Absolutely love the lake, but can't never talk myself into going over there till after the first of the year. Maybe you can change my mind. I'd try the mouths of the creeks and bigger coves. That pattern seems to work good on most lakes once the water temps drop below 60 degress. I'd love to hear a report when you get back regardless of how you do.

Everyone I've talked says the same thing, but I've got the week off, and I thought I'd try it. More of a scouting trip than anything. I will definitely post my results (or lack of).
Well, didn't find any crappie until the last evening we were there, the wife did pretty good from the back of the boat. Had planed on trolling to locate fish, then pushing minnows once we found them. Trouble is, we didnt even find a place to get minnows until the day we left. The lake is down right now about 31/2 ft. and didn't see many other people fishing. I will say this, it is one of the best looking lakes I've ever been to, and we are planning to go back this spring, hopefully the bite will be on then. Water was 57-59 deg. The first day was windy, but other than that, weather was perfect.
