Default oconee 5/5/12 GA slabmasters tourney

jigslinger called me the other night and asked if i wanted to fish a tournement with him. i wasnt sure about getting into it and spending the extra money, so after that i couldnt get it of my head. so guess what we did it. wow what a good time. its a whole different ballgame when you are under the pressure to produce. me and jigs have caught some nice slabs together in the past. but when you get that first big one in this kinda thing its a rush.we went back and forth about how we wanted to do this and decided lets just do what we do best and shoot docks. i can say honestly we caught a 100 to 125 fish but only 5 true slabs. anyway we ended up in 4th place. missed third by 3 ounces. the good thing is we went in my boat and we didnt do a joy ride all day.( sorry jigs had to say it) it was great to meet a bunch of guys we chat with on here. i need to get jigs to take some pics in the boat so people know he is real. every time we go it ends up me with the fish and jigs is nowhere to be seen. anyway great day with all of you. and wName: 0505121748a.jpg

Coop you got a golf cart? (See one in background)... id like to thank this web site for the Best crappie fishing partner I ever had we gave 100% and im 100% proud of the results ...if it hadent been for two little mishaps we may have even had first and big fish. Thats awesome guys! I would've been there if I didn't have to work today. We still need to put together a fruit jar tourney sometime and start a little crappie club or something!
    Congrats guys!
I am going to bite the bullet next weekend and go to Oconee. May camp at Old Salem or Lawrence shoals so can fish in mornings go back to camp until boat traffic dies down and then fish evenings and hang some lights in the water in the timber or under a bridge when it gets dark.
Coop I am so sorry I didn't reply to your PM in time.

I was just mad that I couldn't talk that eagle into dropping that crappie in the livewell. And nope the golf cart is my neighbors. Wanted to get one but the wife gave me a choice boat of golf cart so which one do you think I chose.

Yes we all weighed in 7 fish. We had five nice slabs and 2 about 8 or 9 inches. There was some nice fish caught but the true slabs were hard to find. You could shoot a dock and pull 30 out but only one good one.
